You would expect the largest city in Australia to have a huge selection of shops selling just about everything, and Sydney does not disappoint in any way. The big department stores such as Grace Bros and David Jones have plenty to offer, while Oxford Street should satisfy most people.
Castlereagh Street is where you will find most of the more upmarket designer boutiques, while the flea markets around Bondi are a good choice and an excellent place to pick up a bargain or two.
Shops tend to be open from throughout the week from 9am until after 6 in the evening.
